Folk of the Wood was first established in 1998. It offers an endless resource of online lessons, FAQ's and video samplers. This site is no longer selling instruments and its only purpose today is to promote the instruction of acoustic music through free online lessons covering banjo, mandolin, Dobro, fiddle, violin, acoustic guitar, mandola, octave mandolin, 6-string banjo, 12-string banjo and 12-string guitar.
